Demo tooling & demo operations
Internal tools and workflows so demo teams and Map Design scale together: less queue time, fewer errors, repeatable handoff.
Context
Flagship demos and partner reviews depend on fast iteration on styles, geometry, and scene setup. As volume grew, informal workflows and Map Design as a bottleneck slowed everyone down.
Problem
Demo support mixed chat, ad-hoc files, and tribal knowledge. Validating styles against platform rules was slow; geo and asset prep repeated the same fixes; automotive and event demos needed assets delivered on tight timelines without burning out specialists.
Approach
Lightweight browser-side tooling and GeoJSON helpers where they remove hours of friction; Building Box and related flows for repeatable scene packaging; Style Distillery and similar validation so issues surface before review.
Onboarding and patterns for demo operations (MapsBridge-Kit-style glue, internal shortcuts) so more work is self-serve. Where flagship demos needed GLB or custom pipeline steps (e.g. automotive showcases), automation and clear contracts with 3D and maps teams.
Outcome
Shorter turnaround for common requests, fewer broken demos at review, and clearer ownership between tooling, content, and demo teams.
